The School Day

Start of the school day:

School gates open at 8:40am all children are welcome to come in and enjoy a ‘soft start’ to the day. In class there a range of activities on offer to give all of our brains a wake up and start the day.

Gates close promptly at 8:55am and the register is taken in class. Your child needs to be in their classroom ready to learn at 8:55am.

It is important that you make every effort to get your child to school on time as proven that continued loss minutes over the course of the year have an impact on both the child’s self-esteem and learning.

On the rare occassion that your child may arrive late to school we would ask that you accompany them to the school office and sign them in.

End of the school day:

Reception and KS1 finish at 3:10pm where their teacher will dismiss them directly into the care of their guardian from the classroom door.

KS2 finish at 3:15pm. Children will be accompanied to the playground by their class teacher. Children in years 5 &6 who have the permission to be a lone traveller will be dismissed from the playground.

Please be on time to collect your child. We would appreciate you contacting the school if an unexpected delay occurs.

If you have a friend/relative picking up your child, please inform the school office by 3pm.
