Explorers Ambassadors

Our TfL Explorers Ambassadors take the lead in promoting safe, active and independent travel within our school community. The Explorers Ambassadors are supported by a member of school staff and by officers from the Safe & Sustainable Travel Team from Barnet Council.

The Explorers Ambassadors have an active role in promoting many different activities to encourage children to travel safely and sustainably. Examples of the work of our Explorers Ambassadors include:

• Organising and collecting data for the Big Pedal (a competition held throughout thousands of schools in the UK)
• Holding competitions within school such as Bling your Bike
• Hosting a Biker’s Breakfast
• Creating school displays
• Leading assemblies about Road Safety

The impact of the Explorers Ambassadors work has been felt at St Agnes’ as the number of children travelling actively is higher than ever thanks to their hard work and encouragement.
