Uniform
At St Agnes, our school uniform is more than just clothing; it’s a cherished part of our community identity. Wearing the uniform helps create a strong sense of belonging, allowing pupils to feel connected to one another and proud of their school. We believe that presenting ourselves well is important, and the uniform reflects our pride in appearance.Â
Children are expected to wear the correct school uniform every day. All school uniform (including P.E. kit) should be fully named. On their All for Sports (AFS) day children are required to come to school dressed in their PE kit for sporting activities.
Earrings are to be removed on sport days and plain black or white trainers are only to be worn in as part of the PE kit. We would strongly advise any piercing to take place at the start of the summer holidays so earrings can be removed without concern on return to school.
Any hair shoulder length or longer needs to be tied back and hairbands should be green, white or black in colour. We would ask parents to avoid designs and logos being cut into the hair and to choose hair grading 2 and above when getting a hair cut.
The only jewellery children are permitted to wear is a wrist watch and a pair of plain stud earrings. Although a Catholic school we do not allow children to wear a cross and chain as this poses a health and safety risk and we would not want such precious items to get damaged.Â
School shoes should be flat and black in colour and boots of any kind are not permitted.
